ERIE, PA – The Otters took to home ice on Saturday night, hoping to extend their three game win streak against the visiting Niagara IceDogs. Erie started the game with a quick goal from Jack Duff only 21 seconds in, but were quickly answered by Drew Hunter of the IceDogs to tie the game up at one for the period’s only two goals.

In the second, Niagara found the back of the net four times in the first five minutes with goals from Philip Tomasino, Akil Thomas, Matthew Philip, and Jason Robertson to make it a 5-1 game heading in to the final frame.

In the third, Oliver Castlemen, Ben Jones, and Kyen Sopa added to the IceDog lead, and the Otters fell 8-1 for their first loss in four games.

The Otters will return to home ice tomorrow afternoon to take on the London Knights at 4PM.
