Otters Release 2018 Training Camp Schedule

Erie, Pennsylvania – The Erie Otters Hockey Club announced today that the team will hold their 2018 training camp at the Erie Insurance Arena beginning Saturday, August 25th, running through Tuesday, August 28th.

The schedule for the camp is as follows:

Saturday, August 25th   Sunday, August 26th   
Players Report to Camp Team White Practice 9:00 a.m.
Fitness Testing Team Gold vs. Team Blue 10:15 a.m.
Inter-Squad Prospect Game – 5:30 p.m. Team Gold Practice 2:20 p.m.
  Team White vs. Team Blue 3:45 p.m.
Monday, August 27th Tuesday, August 28th  
Team Blue Practice 9:30 a.m. Off-Ice workouts
Team Gold vs. Team White 11:30 a.m. Team Practice 4:00 p.m.
Inter-Squad Scrimmage 5:30 p.m.  


All training camp on-ice activity at the Erie Insurance Arena will be open to the media and public. A roster for main training camp and the inter-squad prospect game will be released in the near future.


The Erie Otters will participate in the second annual OHL Preseason Showcase at Buffalo’s Harborcenter over Labor Day weekend, Friday, August 31st through Sunday, September 2nd. This year’s exhibition round robin will feature the Flint Firebirds, Hamilton Bulldogs, and Windsor Spitfires, in addition to the Otters. Fans can purchase day passes through the Harborcenter website for $20 or select a weekend pass, good for all six games, for $40. This year’s OHL Preseason Showcase schedule is as follows:

Friday, August 31
4:00 PM – Hamilton Bulldogs vs. Flint Firebirds
7:00 PM – Windsor Spitfires vs. Erie Otters


Saturday, September 1
2:30 PM – Windsor Spitfires vs. Hamilton Bulldogs
7:00 PM – Flint Firebirds vs. Erie Otters

Sunday, September 2
12:30 PM – Flint Firebirds vs. Windsor Spitfires
3:15 PM Hamilton Bulldogs vs. Erie Otters

The Erie Otters embark on their 23rd year of junior hockey in northwestern Pennsylvania this fall.
