The Ontario Hockey League Thursday released the schedule of games for the 2012-2013 season.

The Otters open their 17th campaign of OHL play with five straight games on the road, beginning Thursday, September 20 against the Niagara IceDogs. They will return to Erie Insurance Arena for their 2012-13 home opener at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 5 against the Brampton Battalion. The game is slated to be the home debut for Connor McDavid, the first overall pick in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection.
The Otters will play 26 of 34 home games on weekends: nine Fridays, 16 Saturdays, and one Sunday. All home games are scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m., except for the Sunday game, which will begin at 2:00 p.m.
The longest home stand of the season takes place October 20-November 3, when the Otters will play host to the Windsor Spitfires, Saginaw Spirit, Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, Sarnia Sting and Owen Sound Attack.
The annual Thanksgiving Game returns to Erie Thursday, November 22 with the Belleville Bulls participating for the eighth straight year. The schedule concludes Saturday, March 16 against Midwest Division rivals Guelph Storm at Erie Insurance Arena.
