The Erie Otters Hockey Club is currently accepting applications for their 2015-2016 internship program. Prospective candidates can choose from the following internship opportunities:
Media Internship -
The media intern will observe and assist the broadcast and media relations staff with day-to-day functions and on game nights within the department. The Erie Otters Internship Program is unpaid however it can be counted towards college credit. Full internship description and application information can be found here.
Full Time Operations Internship -
The operations intern will be responsible for assisting with the day to day duties of the Erie Otters Office. Intern will also assist with all game production. Intern will be responsible for assisting with both back- and front-of-house for each event and will get ample experience on both sides. Graphic Design Internship -
The intern can expect to help in the design of collateral materials such as flyers, brochures and posters. Under the guidance of the Media Relations Manager & Promotions Manager, the intent of this program is to expand the applicant’s abilities to a level that will merit consideration for a promotion to a full time position within the sports industry following successful completion of the program. Game Night Operations Internship -
The Game Operations Intern will assist with live entertainment and promotional elements during the Erie Otters home games. They will take direction from the Promotions Manager on many of the following items: meeting with and conducting run-throughs with live entertainment (anthem singers, color guards, bands, etc.), cueing timeout and intermission activities, ensuring that all items needed for the game are prepped, maintaining an open line of communication during the game with announcer, video board operator and Promotions Manager. Under the guidance of the Promotions Manager, the intent of this program is to expand the applicant’s abilities. The internship program is unpaid; however the internship can be counted towards college credit. Preferred start date: Late September. Entire internship description can be found here.
