2013 - 2014 Season Full Time Operations Intern – Erie Otters Hockey Club (Erie, PA)

Availability: September 2013 - March 2014 (or through playoffs)
Job Purpose:
The operations intern will be responsible for assisting with the day to day duties of the Erie Otters Office. Intern will also assist with all game production. Intern will be responsible for assisting with both back- and front-of-house for each event and will get ample experience on both sides. The Erie Otters Internship Program is unpaid however it can be counted towards college credit.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist Erie Otters Staff in the planning, organization, and supervision of all Otters games.
- Assist with the daily operations of the Erie Otters Office including but not limited to daily meetings, filing event information, scheduling, staffing, special projects, etc.
- Assist with all event documentation and coordination.
- Assist customer service efforts and other office tasks.
- Assist all departments within the organization (Sales, Merchandise, Tickets, etc…)
- Other project and/or duties as assigned.
- Represent the organization at in-house events and off-site community events promotion the team. This may require wearing the Mascot costume.
Requirements:
- College Junior or Senior working towards a degree in Business, Sport Management, Marketing or related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong customer service orientation as well as a professional presence.
- Detailed oriented and the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment while working under deadline.
- Work well independently as well as in a team setting when needed.
- Ability to work at least 20 hours a week.
Working Conditions:
- High noise levels during events.
- Walking, stair climbing, and excessive standing for sustained periods of time.
