LONDON, ON – The Erie Otters headed to London on Friday evening to take on the Knights in the first of a three game weekend.  London opened the scoring a few minutes in with a goal from Antonio Stranges, but Chad Yetman would even things up for Erie only 11 seconds later. Erie would add two more goals from Joe Mack and Max Golod to head into the first intermission ahead 3-1.

In the second, London would cut their deficit to a single goal, with the period’s single tally coming from Matvey Guskov of the Knights.

In the third, London would find the last goal they needed to tie it up, with Alex Formenton collecting his 9th of the year, sending the game to overtime.

Erie rookie defensemen Jamie Drysdale found the back of the net just 19 seconds into the overtime period for Erie’s third straight victory, and elevated himself ahead of Travis Dermott for sole possession of the franchise record for points by a rookie defensemen with 29.

The Otters will be back in action tomorrow night at Erie Insurance Arena, where they will take on the Niagara IceDogs at 7PM.
