Erie, PA - For the second night in a row, a comeback attempt by the Erie Otters fell short as they lost to the Kingston Frontenacs, 4-3, Saturday night in front of 3,736 at Tullio Arena.

Dane Fox scored 62 seconds into the game as he ripped a shot from the top of the right circle through the blocker side of Jacob Riley for his 21st goal of the season. Ryan Kujawinski tied the game for the Frontenacs at the 6:54 mark to make it 1-1 going into the second.

The Frontenacs tallied a pair of power play goals in the second courtesy of Cody Alcock and Nathan Cull to grab a 3-1 lead after 40 minutes of play.

Anthony Cortellessa banged in a rebound 5:05 into the third for his fourth goal of the season to put the Otters within a goal. Cull scored his second of the game a minute and 47 seconds later to put Kingston back up by two.

Luke Cairns, who assisted on the first two Otters goals, scored to trim the Kingston lead back to one with 3:37 left to play. Cairns took a cross-ice pass from Connor Brown in stride and fired a shot through the glove of Riley for his ninth goal of the season.

Despite a late power play and several good chances, the Otters were unable to score the tying goal. The Otters power play was 3-for-9 in the game, while Devin Williams stopped 30 shots for the Otters.

The Otters hit the road Sunday afternoon to play the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors at 2:00 p.m. Fans can listen to all the action on Fox Sports Radio AM 1330 The Fan.
